About us
I'm Julie, thanks for taking a look at our site. I am mum of two little ones and my other job is running The Daisy Foundation classes throughout Lanarkshire.
I am a local girl from Airdrie with a big ambition to try and ensure every expecting mum gets the support she needs throughout pregnancy and beyond because I know what it's like when the support you need is not there.
I myself suffered from post natal depression when I went back to work after having my first baby, Emily, and although extremely difficult at the time I came out the other end determined not to see anyone else suffer alone during one of the most life changing, often scariest and best times of our lives. She arrived 6 weeks early and I had not been able to attend any classes to prepare me for her arrival, which left me unprepared and isolated.
As a local mum I have lived in both North and South Lanarkshire and I found it difficult to find one place online where I could find classes as a pregnant woman and mother. Some sites are great but often the information is out of date or not enough info is provided so I decided to start my own site as we could all use some help!
So if you have any information please get in touch through the contact page to help me build up the site for all us local parents.
