It is at this point you dress for comfort!! My god what did women do before lycra. The wheel isn't the best invention -a lycra most definitely is. The frustrating thing is that most shops don't do in store maternity section and if they do its very small. Also a serious lack of places covering 'small, plump and pregnant'!!
New Look, H&M, Mothercare all have stuff in store, Albeit limited. Next, Asda, Asos, M&S on line. And if looking for higher quality items Tiffany Rose and Isabella Oliver (if its good enough for Holly Willabooby, its good enough for me)
I have been living in yoga pants, long vests and two god send pairs of Next maternity jeans. I have other mat jeans that refused to stay up and when falling throughout the day also strangely took my pants with them.... My bum has never been for public display!!!
When you have a job where people look at you and expect you to dress up its not easy. Whilst singing I feel I have to announce I am pregnant. Last week I didn't and I could see two women starting at me only for one to drunkenly ask me 'sorry hen, but are you pregnant or just fat??
At times its a depressing affair, seeing all the gorgeous clothes and knowing you don't fit anything. Then I look at my almost 3 year old and think wow, I grew you!!! I also see women in classes practically glowing with beautiful bumps of all shapes and sizes. Women who wished they were bigger, smaller, higher, lower and I just think you know we are creating miracles in this room. All growing little people, actual humans and I think how lucky we are. So yes, my knockers might be huge, my bump ever expanding but I am growing a whole person that I can't wait to meet.
till the next time.
