I attended the daisy birthing classes and absolutely loved them, it gave me the opportunity to learn about a positive birthing experience and my choices. I also met other mums who were all lovely, the class is so friendly and I looked forward to it each week. ⭐️
I now attend the daisy tinies class with my wee boy, it’s so nice to see some friendly faces and make some new friends too; learning about massage and also getting a coffee and chat after the class 🍰
Julie is absolutely fantastic at what she does, so knowledgeable and nothing is ever a bother, she has time for everyone and is so good with the babies.
I would highly recommend attending, if your thinking about it - book up ! 😊

Loved my two terms of Daisy Birthing, Tinies and now Wrigglers. It’s lovely to share the whole pregnancy, birth and baby stages with other mummies who are in exactly the same boat 🥰 it’s just amazing how the support doesn’t end when your time at Daisy classes does. I’ve met some lovely people on my journey and sure to be friends with them for a long time to come. Julie is a fab teacher with a wealth of knowledge to help you on your way. Xxx

"I've been particularly anxious about birth and what comes after. However I am now on my second term of Lazy Daisy birthing classes. Lazy Daisy has literally been a lifeline for me. The classes are amazing! My confidence has grown so much in my own ability to birth my baby. I've gone from feeling very afraid to feeling extremely empowered. So it's had a very positive impact on my self confidence and self esteem as a direct result. The forum is wonderful. No matter what time of night or day there is a non judgemental lovely mummy or mummy to be on hand to reassure you or answer any sort of question you post - completely without judgement! These classes and the community that Julie Keys has created as a result is truly something special and unique.!

I have already learnt so much more about my body and I feel that I am so much more prepared & calm this time & it's all thanks to the wonderful Julie who takes the classes! It's a very open class & any question is a welcome question, and no topic is off limits! It's my favourite time of the week as I
get to sit down and take time to focus on & enjoy my pregnancy

I am in my 2nd term with Daisy Birthing just now and can't recommend it highly enough. I have a little boy already who was a challenge to bring into the world to say the least. My first labour was long and complicated resulting in an emergency section and I swore that I would never put myself through that again and would be opting for an elective next time. After just one term with Julie I feel like I now have the knowledge and confidence that I was lacking the first time round and am going for VBAC. I have a new positive outlook on my pregnancy and great sense of inclusion since the group is filled with the friendliest ladies you could hope to meet, most of all Julie. Everyone is full of fantastic advice and life experience that you just don't get from your midwives and consultants. This really is a group that every pregnant woman should join.

I stumbled across these classes when someone mentioned them on babycentre. I had a quick look and initially was fairly sceptical as they sounded a bit out there and not at all what I was like. However, despite having a good birth experience with my first child I couldn't remember a thing almost 7 years on so I bit the
bullet and emailed Julie. I went along to my first class bump in tow and was and left smile in tow. Not only did a lot of the things that Julie said make sense but she demonstrated to follow it up ). With each class I gained confidence that I could not only do this again but do it the best way I could, confident that the techniques learned in class would help me through the journey when the time came.
I was right. 2 hrs and 20 mins after my first contraction my second son shot his way into the world. Rotate to dilate was ingrained in my mind and my goodness it worked!
These classes have not only left me with a positive birth experience but also many friends who share common interests and are always willing to help, regardless. Lazy Daisy is a fabulous community to
belong to.

I have just finished my 2nd term of Daisy Birthing and have signed up for my 3rd. Julie's class has given me reassurance and support throughout my pregnancy and I have found the support network that the class has created to be invaluable. As a first time mum to be I was very apprehensive about the whole birthing experience and the Daisy Birthing classes have given me the confidence in myself and my body to have a positive labour and delivery. I would highly recommend the class to all mums to be.

I've just finished a 6 week block of classes with Julie and have signed up for another. The classes are informal, relaxed and enjoyable. It's lovely to be able to share your experiences with other mums to be and Julie creates an environment in class where it's easy to do this. I feel much more positive and relaxed about my pregnancy and labour since attending the classes. I'm looking forward to another block to improve my muscle memory and feel even more confident about all I've learned. I would recommend the classes to any pregnant friends in the future.

I am now doing my second term of Lazy Daisy - this is my second baby - and this is one of the best antenatal classes out there! With my first baby, I did both pregnancy yoga and the NCT antenatal class, but I have found Julie's class and teaching so much more relaxed and welcoming than in any other class I
have attended. The atmosphere is so relaxed and you have a great opportunity to meet and share pregnancy experiences with other mums in your area. I also found the class very open-minded - no one is preaching about breastfeeding or what type of drugs to take (or not to!) during labour, as was the case with the NHS and NCT classes. The breathing techniques and movements Julie takes you through are specific for each stage of labour and having been through the birth of my first baby, is something I wish I knew back then!
All in all, an excellent class with a lovely teacher - Julie has created a network of mums in the Lanarkshire area that you can always go to for support and advise - or just an opportunity to meet up when you feel stuck at home with a new baby.

Lynne Says:
I was a bit sceptical about classes at first as I had to have a c section 4 weeks early in my first pregnancy and my placenta has been low early on in this pregnancy so there was a high chance I'd need a repeat.
However Julie convinced me that the classes would be of benefit regardless of my birthing experience and how right she has been!
I've been really anxious following a late loss last year and Julie has been a great support but having other pregnant mums to talk to and share worries with has really helped me chill out! This support is available 7 days a week and the daisy mums in Lanarkshire have created a great community.
The breathing techniques and relaxation exercises taught during class are great and really assisted me with managing SPD. It has also helped conquer pregnancy insomnia.
The biggest plus for me though is that i may now be able to achieve the VBAC I am desperate for and I thank my daisy classes for this! While placenta has risen of its own accord baby was breech but using the exercises and moves suggested by Julie he/she is now head down at 34 weeks.
Julie is an amazing teacher, down to earth, bubbly and very supportive. These classes are great even for mums who've been through a pregnancy before!

Hi, I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with my second child. This is my 2nd term at lazy daisy birthing and I have had great support from Julie and all the Airdrie girls with regards to offloading all my fears, worries and general feelings about my body and pregnancy. I am trying for a VBAC delivery this time and the essential exercises and breathing techniques Julie has taught me are helping ease hip pain, lower back pain and other pregnancy related ailments. Mind over matter and positive healthy thinking aided by Julie's reassuring words truly is helping. I would highly recommend to all pregnant ladies xx

This is my second pregnancy and I cant recommend lazy daisy classes highly enough. I really had no idea about labour first itme round and was keen to try and make it an easier more positive experience this time. Even in the first week I learnt different exercises to help get baby into the correct position for labour. After having back labour first time round I knew how useful this would be. As well as all the useful exercises and information to help during pregnancy and labour its also a great way to meet other mums and have a good chat about our pregnancies. Our teacher Julie puts you completely at ease and is happy to answer any questions.

I am expecting my first baby, and I'm just nearing the end of my first 6 week block with Lazy Daisy in Hamilton. I started when I was 20 weeks pregnant. I am already signed up for the next 6 week block and plan to continue until my baby arrives. The classes are really informative, and fantastic for making you feel confident about coping with labour. We learn different movements and breathing techniques that will prepare us for labour and help during it. Apparently the techniques we are learning should help reduce pain during labour and even help make it a little shorter - sounds good to me!! It's also great to meet other mums-to-be. You find out that other people have the same worries and concerns as you, and we can give each other advice on all sorts of things, like heartburn remedies and the best place to buy prams. I would highly recommend this class to all mums-to-be

I have just finished my first term of lazy birthing classes and fully recommend it! As as first timer it has helped me become more informed about the whole process in a very positive way. Too many people tell you scare stories so its great to have someone giving you the practical skills and tools to be in control and have a positive experience. Julie (our class teacher) said there's no such thing as a stupid question and was happy to answer queries explaining how things work but also speaking to you the way a friend would instead of baffling you with medical mumbo jumbo! I definitely felt the benefit of the stretches and position work and think that's part of the reason I've had an easy time of it throughout my pregnancy so far. The relaxation aspect is the cherry on top of the cake - you don't realise you are tense until you are given the opportunity to unwind. Can't recommend highly enough! Also a lovely way to meet mums to be in the area and ask any questions I have. So friendly and positive. A must for any yummy mummy to be x

On my 2nd block of Laisy Daisy classes in Airdrie and I love it! I was very nervous about birth but now feel I understand it more, feel more confident and more relaxed about it. Also look forward every week to the relaxation. Would highly recommend Laisy Daisy.

Attended the first Airdrie class last night and can't recommend it highly enough!! The yoga stretches were really good and the information provided by teacher Julie was really educational. The NHS could be doing with passing on this information! Already it's made me feel positive about my baby's impending birth and can't wait for the next class.
